Approach
Photography’s in the middle of its biggest renaissance in a long while, and while there’s a whole lot of neat stuff happening, I can’t help shake the feeling that there’s a little too much of the same.
Canon. Nikon. Everyone’s carrying a digital SLR, and while they’re fantastic tools, they lock us all into one way of approaching photography.
That’s a shame, because photography is something bigger than L glass and a pro body. There’s a whole lot that can be learned from different gear - a different perspective on how to approach problems.
It seems pretty clear that there won’t be many more years that it’ll be affordable to buy & process film, so now’s the time to play with all the crazy stuff that’s been invented over the last century and a half.
And maybe along the way, we’ll all see photography in a different light.
